Hi everybody!
No wonder I didn't like the networking!!! I knew what I was doing unconsciously, yet hearing, reading and writing them today made me totally realized what I was doing to myself. I used to love parties, social networking etc, but ever since I started coaching, I dread them. Hate to admit it, it's because I'm a glass half empty networker. I see the purpose of the networking as "getting a client/selling my service".
The next networking, or any opportunity I'd talk with others, I'll be natural, allow myself to be myself, and see what happens.
A few people have given me some phone #s for contacts and business opportunity, and I have been avoiding to follow up. Now I'm inspired to show up naturally... I'll contact them tomorrow. It's going to be fun to meet these new people!!! That's all I'd focus, no "business opportunities" etc. for now.
(I hated it so much when my mother wanted me to be someone else, yet I feel like I took over that job! Why am I doing that to myself???)
